Our client's beautiful new-build contemporary home was located on the shores of Lake Orion, Michigan. We delivered kitchen, bathroom, and mudroom shaker-style walnut cabinets with full overlay construction. We also designed floating shelves for the laundry room and open "cubby" benches with matching wood tops for the mudroom (not pictured). The result was a cabinet layout that looked as classy and timeless as the rest of this contemporary home.
This cabinet project included rich walnut wood with full overlay construction for all the cabinet designs. The inside edge of these cabinet shaker style doors were 3" wide rail set at 45-degree angles.
The kitchen cabinets included a layout for the triple wall oven (warming drawer, steam and wall oven), a vacuum sealer drawer, and an undercounter ice maker end panel. The 15-foot island had a built-in range top and down draft exhaust vent.
For the laundry room, we designed floating shelves and a vanity with walnut overlay. The mudroom included open "cubby" benches and matching removable wood tops.
Included in the pantry design were open shelves and a custom cover for electrical panel. Other cabinet deigns in this project were floating vanities for three bathrooms on the main floor. There were also two basement bathrooms with floating vanities, and a basement kitchenette with glass doors, floating shelves, and a tall island back with custom end panels.
There were several unique things on this project. First, was the built in range top cabinet to accommodate a down-draft exhaust vent, which was installed into the 15-foot island. Other special features were the ice maker end panel, plus an extra wide filler panel to cover a post in the laundry room. Lastly, was an electrical panel cover in the pantry and stepped island end panels for the basement kitchenette.
